Cool Hello I'm David from Ithaca NY

I've always driven plain old sedans. Nothing to write home about. So I guess this is my first "cool" car. I dunno, getting an HHR, well - it just sort of happened to me! I was looking for a vehicle that could carry stuff and got decent gas mileage. I went to the US EPA web site and used the power search feature and it suggested the HHR as a top vehicle that would meet my needs. To be honest, I thought the car looked kinda weird at first, but it obviously could carry stuff and 30 mpg highway is good enough for me. After all, I traded in a loaded 2002 Mercury Mountaineer for my HHR, and that beast only got like 13-20 mpg! So anyway I looked all over the Internet for an HHR with low mileage, and, ironically, I found a 2009 HHR LS just one block from my house. The dealer, Pritchard Automotive, gave me a nice deal, and now, here I am, a proud owner! My HHR LS is Imperial Blue Metallic. The interior is black and gray. There was only one previous owner and CARFAX says it was never in any accidents. It has 21,550 miles on it. It has two-tone cloth seats. It has an automatic transmission. It has a 2.2L Eco-Tec engine. It has power everything. It has the remote engine starter. It has cruise control. I put a SONY DSX-S200X digital media player in it. It's a unique deck. No CD player. You actually put your iPod inside it, behind the face plate, or you can connect your iPhone to the external USB port. You could also connect any old music player. It cost $428 installed and it sounds great with the factory speakers, although I'm tempted to add Infinity speakers. So far I've put chrome tire valve caps on it, and deer whistles. I intend to put vent visors on it (external adhesives I think) and Chevy Logo mud flaps. Or maybe I'll do nothing. I learned there is an SS model after I bought my HHR, and now I want one of those! Do they handle any better than the LS/LT models? I'm really intrigued! As for cons, the cup holders are in an awkward place, which I would never complain too much about, but it is true what they say about them. I also have to lean forward to see the stoplight change when I'm first in line, which is no big deal, but something I've never had to do before. Anyway, hello everybody and thanks for reading this!

Thanks! The car in the picture surely does resemble the HHR! Or, I guess I mean, the HHR resembles it!

Hey friend. I am an FNG here as well. I got the SS model (2010) and really like it. I would like to find one of the external windshield visors as a mod. The only thing I don't like is I wish the roof was 1/2 an inch taller! I do not regret my purchase and have really enjoyed the truck.
