I just wanted to see if anyone else has had the compartment on dashboard..lid break off..so now I can't close it and have to wrap twine to keep it down to see properly. Just frustrated. The other major complaint is that the front doors can have ice lodged in when weather temps below freezing and then it is difficult to open doors. You would think that this would be check via quality control before hit market. Has anyone found these issuses and any helpful tips to correct? thanks

Welcome to the site, send a pm to Bob search parting out 2007. He may have a replacement part for you, and for the ice issue yes the ice does build up there I use a good wax to keep the ice from sticking seems to have worked this past loooooonnggg winter!!!

God should RECALL winter! It sucks!
Do you have a car to recommend that is immune to water freezing on it's surfaces? I'm open to suggestions.

This has been sarcasm. If you don't get it, you don't get it.

Welcome to the site

I had my upper lid break but it was changed under warranty. There is a thread on here where one of members repaired his by drilling through the the upper door and bolting in the latch.

As for the ice it's something I had dealt with sense new. This year was worse with ice in my opinion.

Here is a thread of a home made repair for the lid.
