Welcome welcome!!! Sounds like you might be liking your HHR just a little bit
Always good to see a fellow bike rider onboard here.
Check out the site, and bookmark a few of the links you find most helpful. Don't forget that there is a SEARH Tool at the top center of the page that works great for looking up issues/fixes and general information.
Glad to have you on-board.

Welcome from Michigan
Hi FiLeL,
I spent 31 years in body and paint. I worked at the Buick factory in Flint, Michigan. The original Buick factory where Buicks were built for 90 years before it was razed. Without Buick GM would never have formed as it did.
I did body and paint work in my garage but retired now. I am a true car guy having owned as many as 15 cars at one time and have owned 75+ cars in my lifetime.
The 1948 Pontiac Club Coupe I had in 1963 was my favorite car. The HHR is my favorite car today. Most other cars look alike but you can tell an HHR on the road coming or going.
I love panels above all other body styles, all makes and years.. I am going to buy a Panel SS as soon as I can find one for sale near me.
Again welcome and enjoy that HHR.
Another old guy
Boydie

Welcome to the site
I'm retired too! But stay as active as I can.
I have a love for my HHR ss as well!
I have always had a love for cars.
I'm helping to put a large car show together this summer, For the Grand reopening of Simi Valley Chevrolet Dealership.
This is something 'm really excited about.
Lot of great people on this site, and with your mechanical experience maybe you can be of help to those who may be puzzeled about their HHR
Again welcome from California
Tim
