to the forum Pboytrav71!

The most important things to remember about rim shopping for the HHR are that it has a 5 x 110MM bolt circle, and the offset should be between 38-42MM.

Check out the "Search" function in the toolbar at the top of the screen and you'll find tons of rim threads.

One other thing to remember, because of the front suspension design on the HHR, your wheel & tire combo can't exceed 26" in overall diameter. Anything over 26" will cause the inner sidewall of the tire to hit the lower spring perch on the front struts.

Hope this helps, and never hesitate to ask questions here.

Ok in found these 20s I want to get which has a bolt pattern of 5x114 which is close and understood those could work with spacers... What exactly are spacers and how do they work..?? And when you mention 26 in diameter how do I check that?? And that's with the rim and tire together? So basically it will also depend on the tire size I choose from?

Welcome to the site.

5x114 won't work. You need the 5x110. Listen to what Mike(843de) stated above. He pretty much covered what you need to know.

There are some running 20's, but I would think twice about it. You will have to run a very short sidewall tire which will mean a stiff, harsh ride.

Welcome to the site, lots of guy's have 20's on their Trucklets.

18's with ultra high performance tires rides rough enough for me.

Yes it depends on tire size....

Try this link & add tire size, it will give all the size specs.

20's may look cool to some, but one good pothole & you could ruin a rim & the tire.

But I'm old school..

FWIW the SS's run 18'' wheels with tires that have about 2 inches of sidewall. I think 19 might be the highest you can run without rubbing. I haven't tried to confirm, but 20's would be a lot of rim, and very little tire. But I suppose anything is possible, except sharp turns.
