New to site
Greetings to all. I have an 07 HHR LS w/110k which I bought new. It's plain vanilla, except that it's a 5-speed & has leather upholstery. Only 'defect' on this car was paper-thin front rotors, which warped at 50k, & I'm a very easy driver on brakes. Replaced w/drilled/slotted rotors which solved the issue. Replaced typical wear items, struts & shocks at 75k. These are really fun cars - sad that GM discontinued. Now I do need help replacing the legendary air cleaner housing bracket. The attachment screws are fitted from the inside of the housing & if anyone has any input as to a technique to remove those screws other than drilling an access hole above the screw head, then plugging the hole after attaching the new bracket - I welcome your comments!
A) welcome
B) more likely your rear brakes need adjustment
C) those are studs bolted into the engine with spacer/lock nuts. The filter housing has rubber grommets attaching to the "bolts" they just pop off with a bit of encouragement.
