New to the site & Looking for Help!!
Hello everyone,im new to the site and thought id say hello..we have an 06 HHR LT driving us crazy with a few issues such as Check engine/TC light combos as well as being unable to shift from park sometimes..im hoping im not alone in this can can find some solutions without having to turn to the oh so costly dealerships!!! Looking forward to the interaction...
to the forum Kane2727!First things first, have you had the codes pulled yet, and it you have what are they?
If you haven't had the codes pulled yet, head to your local Advance, Autozone, Napa, etc. They'll pull the codes for free. Without the codes we'd be throwing out guesses instead of giving you info that can really be of help

Ill definitely get the codes pulled now that i have a place to turn to for help/advice..thanks for reply.ill hit autozone tonight when i get home..
Ive tried to pull the code but the light has gone off,its done that in the past where it shows up along with the check engine light and starts to shift hard for a few days then goes away and all is well. Will they be able to pull the codes with no light on at the time or do i need to wait until the light comes back..This all started when i ran over a good sized piece of debris on the highway, since then it comes and goes..
The vehicle stores the codes(well almost all the time, there can be intermittent issues that can "Self Clear"), so no need to wait for the light to goes back on, they should be there. Have them pulled when you can, since your issues started after hitting some road debris, there is one thing you can check/try right now.
Open the underhood fuse box and make sure everything in there (fuses & relays) is seated. HHR's have a habit of vibrating things loose in the fuse box anyway, a big jar from hitting something may have knocked something loose enough to give you intermittent symptoms.
