New SS Owner, Pictures included!
Hi Guys!
Picked up my Silver 2008 SS 5speed at the beginning of October. This is my first car that I ever purchased totally on my own. I'm in love with it so far, I found it with 54,900 miles for $14,500 it's the only HHR SS I've ever seen in LA and once I drove it, I JUST HAD TO GET IT. The first owner took such good care of the interior, its immaculate looking. I was looking at used Civic Si, Sentra SE-Rs, Cobalt SS and Hyundai Genesis Coupes but when I found this bad boy there was never a doubt in my mind I would drive anything else. I used to drive a 2000 Z3 Coupe so I love the fact that my SS is as rare as my old bimmer and its much faster
I'm really enjoying my upgrade in size, utility and speed. I'm so happy to have found an active forum for the HHR and am stoked to become part of the community! Cheers from LA. Here are some pics

My '09 SS: It was the only one I saw for sale in this area without high mileage.

haha thanks! I had one minor hiccup and took it to the dealer and one of the service reps was all over it, he had "never seen an HHR SS" and kept complimenting the front end. I had a reduced engine power notice which I researched on this thread and made me slightly nervous. They found it was a sensor and replaced it (thankfully I bought a warranty with the car ). I feel in love with the engine. I was a valet in college and drove a bunch of rental base HHRs and was always down with the looks and interior space. My favorite part of the SS aside from the engine is the front seats...they're amazing. I have still yet to see a HHR SS on the road but I notice the regular 2.4L's all the time now Hopefully I'll meet one of you guys on the road in the near future. This forum reminds me a lot of my first car's forum Elantra GT which unfortunately doesn't exist anymore, who's the main host for this site?
