What years had a black or charcoal interior?

2007 and up.

 

Guess I may have too look for a 2007+.

I am seeing many Tan interior HHR's.

 

I thought the Cobalt and HHR share the same engine?

 

they do share the same three engines in different trims...ls=2.2 in both cars. lt is 2.2 in the cobalt also...the lt hhr can be either engine(2.2 or 2.4). the 2.4l is the NA/SS cobalt, but only the lt in the hhr. and the 2.0 turbo is the SS in both cars. (2.0 supercharged is 05-07 cobalt SS) the cars are virtually identical if you look at them from the underneath
