I've yet to see any one candidate who has really grabbed my attention and won me over - we'll see what happens.

At this point, I really don't care who does it, as long as someone brings our troops home. We have enough issues on our own land to take care of.

I see you are a conservative. Cool! No offense, But, why vote party lines all the time? The current Republican party is definitely NOT what my conservative friends bought into years back. This last pack of Republicans surely gives pause as to just WHAT conservative values are. I suppose if they do represent you than vote for them. I just figure you must be voting for them because the Democrats are your enemy.

There are other options, . I sometimes vote Libertarian and they are to the right of the Republicans I have a conservative fiscal streak and a hand's off moral judgment streak which the Libertarians espouse. You won't find a Libertarian getting within ten feet of a Terry Shivo fiasco. Can't say that about Dubya or the Dems. They all grandstand for their constituents at our expense.
Libertarians would rather run the country and not politicize at every junction. I guess that's why they lose........

The Republicans need a slap for betraying their principles and our country.

And this is coming from someone who votes his mind in all elections. I usually try to get third parties viable. They never are , but I gotta dream.
The two party stranglehold on our country is killing us. Look at how they divide us, keep us in fear and at each other's throats.
Vote'em out. Screw the parties.

End of rant. Thanks fer lettin' me go off. Shoot back if ya wish. ..
Yer, cool, you drive an HHR

That is your viewpoint....doesn't mean it is the right one, just another opinion. (just as I have one as well or anyone else here)

Can't broadbrush paint the whole party like that just as much as I can't paint the whole Democratic Party because of the actions of Fat Drunk Ted or Chuckles Schumer or Pelosi or even that pinhead Leahy

I sure as hell don't agree with everything that comes down the pike that they propose but usually 7 out of 10 times it makes more sense to me than anything else on the other side of the aisle

Libertarian? I like to have a little law and order with my government...no thanks....(again imo)

No problem with me if you want to express your viewpoint,so let me express mine.I am sure that this following statement of my beliefs will alienate me and disturb some of the members here but if they have a problem with it...well that's their problem, not mine. So,here goes...I agree with your viewpoint that some Republicans have lately been not so conservative. And while I tend to be somewhat "Libertarian" in some of my viewpoints, that party has never been a viable option for me.And I cannot,in good conscience, vote for any Democrat because of the Christian values I hold dear.I will never vote for anyone who aligns themselves with a party that condones the continuing murder of unborn children(abortion) and tries to normalize sexual perversion(homosexuality). Therefore I will continue to vote my conscience and for many years now that has always been for a Republican candidate."Political correctness is not right if it is morally wrong."

I agree. Democrat or Republican is killing us! All of the forerunners from both parties suck this time around. I like to vote 3rd party but a specific 3rd party. I know I'm voting for the underdog with no chance in hell but I don't feel my vote is still wasted because I'm voicing my opinion on not only our choices of politicians but my opinion on our whole American political system. I do vote for whoever I feel is best for the job though, regardless of party.

I hate to break it to you but Giuliani supports both (they are main points of his along with immigration). Looks like your Democrats don't support Christian values theory doesn't hold up with Giuliani being a Catholic Republican.

You are going to have different factions within any party......Rudy isn't the only one running for the Republican nomination. HB is saying that the candidate that matches his values for the most part is has always been a Republican...obviously Rudy does not match his values so when the primary comes around I don't think HB will be pulling the Rudy tab in the booth.

I really try to stay out of politics. Had the family over tonight for a cook out, and they all started talking about the candidates, China, and Iraq. I just stay out and keep my opinion to myself. Besides, all politicians are liers who tell a good story to get in and then do whatever they want in the long run. I've yet to meet someone with even close to the same political opinion as mine.

I agree. I used Rudy because he is a Republican forerunner and a very likely candidate for our next president that supports both abortion and homosexual rights. But to say only Republicans support Christian values is ludicrous. It doesn't bother me one bit being neither Christian or Democrat but say that to a Christian Democrat. Most Democrats are Christians and I'm sure they hold their values as true and dear as any Republican. There are many Democrats that don't agree with abortion or homosexuality just as there are many Christians that so agree with them. I'm sure if you take a poll of all the members of the same church you'll end up with a mix of all types of political views, including some extreme left ones like mine.
