Hello all, just 24hrs ago I bought my 2006 LT2 HHR and I love it. Call me Mark Twain.... but I've actually driven an LS before for a month or so. Gather round children and I'll tell you a story:

I'm driving my Xterra from the office on the way to one of our other locations 50 miles away and stop to get gas. So I finish filling up the truck and realize that my bladder is also full and decide to run in an use the washroom. No sooner had I stepped inside the the bathroom when SCREEEEEECH KABAAAAM.
I step out of the latrine and the owner is yelling "Your Truck, Your Truck"

I look outside and my truck looks fine from the back... wait it's 20ft away from where I parked! Turns out this lady was driving down the hill and her accelerator stuck and she panicked and figured THE SAFEST WAY TO STOP WOULD BE AIM FOR THE GAS STATION!!!!! Well she stopped alright, right after a head on collision with my truck. I would be toast had I not heard the call of nature. Even better luck, my rental car for the 1.5 months was an LS HHR.

I loved it. My wife loved it. My kids loved it. That was it....

Fast forward 8 months later and I'm still drivin the Xterra to work and putting $60 in the tank every other day. That's no good. I just need to show the wifey several spreadsheets, bar graphs, and swear on a bible in fact that wasn't enough, I think I gave up a fishing trip......

But last night we bought a 2006 LT2 w/24K and everything but a spoiler for a dream. I've been looking for 4 mo's and found a trade in at a Mercedes/BMW dealership. They DID NOT WANT a chevy on the lot. Their loss... OUR GAIN..

Sorry to ramble. We love our HHR and this site rockS! The info here is great. Cant believe I'm on a board that has nothing to do with fishing. Anybody around here fish, or eat fish or eat from a dish or shoot a swish? Anybody? Beuhler?

Thanks all, I'll shoot some pix this weekend. Gotta clean all my fishing stuff out of the Xterrra this weekend for the wife and try not to junk up the HHR. I'm an outdoors guy so I need to get some black all weather floor mats and probably a bed liner. Came here looking for some roof rack advise so I'll have to check past posts. Off to work now.. need coffee...lots of coffee...
