Going to work last friday I turned on the news in the HHR and found my favorite channel and headed down the road. Talked about gov, the local news, the weather, then sports, then traffic. I live in pekin and work in morton, about a fifteen minute drive, and they said there was an accident in morton. End of news, change channel, local, sports, weather, traffic. There was a accident in morton with injuries, please avoid such and such intersection. This accident involved a motorcycle and a HORSE! Could belive my ears, a horse. Turn out a couple of horses got loose, one ran out into the road, the guy swerved to miss the horse and hit a second one running after the first. Truly, I felt bad for the guy on the bike, but hitting a horse? How often does that happen? So I went to work, talked to the guys I work with and went about my day. About two hours later I was talking to a coworker from a different department and started to tell him what I heard. Found out that the guy on the bike works at the same place. I'm even friends with him He is okay, busted up, but okay. He wore his helmet, I think it saved his life, and only suffered a cut on his head. Busted ankle and bad cuncussion, but alive.

 

I almost hit a turkey the other day on my m/c...not the same as a horse but maybe enough to dump me

That happened around here in Ohio except it was cows not horses and on a state highway. A car going 60 mph hit a cow, it wasnt pretty.

 

Glad to hear he's doing ok..!! Up here it's riders hitting deer. At least 4 -5 a year in upstate NY.
