Having just lost my mother from similar circumstances. Our thoughts are with you. hang in there, it's a slow recovery process.

Was supposed to have a trake done today but now is postponed because they want also add a stomach port at the same time to have him under only once instead of 2 separate operations. After he will have a CT again of his head to see what may or may not be going on with his head with metal capacity and use.

haven't been on in a while. things went bad but have taken a great new upswing. was up in a chair today, and the 1st thing he did was grab the hospitals remote control for the TV! Doctors said only 1 in 13 survive. still has pain from 11 broken ribs and a completely broken sternum from the CPR he received during the 3 times he died... Talk soon to all again, thanks for the well wishes. only have internet in the hospital. my dad refuses to get a computer...

Glad to hear he's bouncing back, it'll take time Mike, but it sounds like he's weathered the storm.

going great. dad is now in re-hab. not the same beautiful place as the hospital but highly recommended. doing well, being taken off the ventilator, and will be able to speak to me tuesday. I unfortunately have to fly home after 2 and a half weeks to get back to family I miss and job. Thanks all! was hoping there would be some of you out there could meet up as there are dozens of hhrs around here... oh well. flying home weds to NY at 7AM.
