Answer a Question with a Question
Larceny - To "deprive" another of property means (a) to withhold it or cause it to be withheld from him permanently or for so extended a period or under such circumstances that the major portion of its economic value or benefit is lost to him, or (b) to dispose of the property in such manner or under such circumstances as to render it unlikely that an owner will recover such property.—N.Y. Penal L. § 155.00 (3).
So the belief in the existence of an individual's soul would need to be recognized legally for Larceny to occur as an offense. Since there is no legal definition or recognition of the concept of a "soul" we find ourselves in a bit of a conundrum don't we?

I was going to say something like "You need A/C for 80°?", but then I remembered those summer days when I lived up in Buffalo and as soon as it hit 75°, people began fanning themselves and fainting in the streets. When you're raised somewhere where 90° is a "touch warm", and 100° can be the low for the day, 80° ain't a big deal ya know?
