It's in lower Manhattan, Tribeca stands for "Triangle below Canal Street". It's bordered by Canal Street, Battery Park, and City Hall Park. The decommissioned FDNY Station #8 used in the exterior filming of Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 is located in Tribeca.
