Well my 3 1/2 month vacation on unemployment is over, I got called back to work this past friday. My boss called me the week before last and told me they wanted me to come back to work on January 4th being they got some work for a few months, and then they called back about a week later and asked me to start back this week!!!! Nomore sittin around on my butt being bored out of my mind with nothing to do, lol. Gettin out of bed early tomorrow morning is gonna suck, got used to sleepin in. Hopefully they will get more work by the time that this project is done which is supposed to be done by the end of March, or I might end up getting laid off again. We will have to just wait and see if things are gonna turn around and we get more work in.

I am affraid things are a little weak yet in the economy and we will have some ups and down yet to come.

So easy to get used to this (forced) time off!
Going on 4 months here myself--but I have a feeling I may be offered a job I'm not sure I want soon. I'm working on my PhD, so that keeps me busy and have volunteered to keep busy too.

Thanks everyone!! I was kinda worried about going back to work and not having anything to do until they received materials for the job, but I actually stayed pretty busy today. As of right now they have called another guy and I back this week, and then there is like 8 more people coming back after the first of the year. The work that we ended up getting is a pretty big job from the way it sounds so possibly even overtime in the near future to be able to have the whole job done by mid to end march.

 

Oh and I know all about the college thing. I go part time right now in the evening working on an assoiciate degree in radiography.

 

Well Congrats on getting back to work! Thing are starting to come back its going to take some time but all in due time. We are Extremely Busy however they don't want to pay OT due to the Economy and they don't want to add anyone in fear they will have to let them go the first of the year. Another Words Due double to the work with what ya have. I'm thankful to have a job but sometimes Upper Decision's are Pointless.
