Me and the wife have been mauling over getting the SPYDER TOURING EDITION. I'm no wimp but to be honest I don't really care to balance a bike at lights and stop & go traffic with a passenger. Now if I'm buying a bike that I will only be riding by myself, I would probably get a 2 wheel model. The wife is afraid to ride on 2 wheel models.

Saw one of these in person when they first came out...powered by Hyabusa. Pretty slick if you got the jack for one

The first time I saw one, I kind of marveled at how it's set up more like a snowmobile than a regular bike. The two wheels out front should actually be quite stable. I would also think that hitting the odd pothole would be less of a worry than with a regular bike.

they are very stable and the RT-S also has a stability control type thing built in to keep the wheels all on the ground.

Less of a worry to hit a pothole, but a lot harder to avoid them. Since you have 3 wheels covering the span, a lot harder to just pass over it.

I don't know what it is called but have you seen the roll caged 2 seater version of the same vehicle? I did and it had a matching trailer it was towing... I passed people to catch up to that thing just to see it and and wonder how much it costs. lol

I think it is the T-rex that someone mentioned earlier, I looked it up and seems to be what you were looking for. It's not the same vehicle and made by different companies etc, it just happens to use a similar 3 wheels setup.

Everybody,

If ANYONE has questions about the Spyder, PM me. We just rolled over 25000 miles on ours and can answer anything anyone might come up with.

Geoff.
