Here is a little reading information on the Blizzard of '78 in Southern Michigan: Blizzard of 1978

Check out these images from the Blizzard of 77. Pay close notice to the far right one in the first row. It was a wonderful time to be employed as a tow truck driver.

We barely got a foot here this storm but Sharon Mass got 22".
The coast got hit pretty bad with flooding.
Not much of a Blizzard here.
It only took about an hour to throw the snow off my 3 driveways and the snowthrower didn't even break.

I thought that was still the case Sunflower, PennDot just installs potholes and then puts up cones. The townships do everything else. PA is such a nice state, great scenery, great people like you, and Godawful roads. Come down here and you'll be amazed, it'll feel just like your wheels are actually round!

Nope we only got 3-6 here but with the fun they got in philly they havn't cleaned our roads yet. Just tried to go to work got 3/4 miles from my house and went to go to the only road to the highway from my house and it wasn't cleaned yet. So back to my house I went.
I have some folks up in Pittsburgh area..(edit): Course that's way West of you, in Montgomery Co. IIRC ?
