Let's try this again.

Observations about the Paris photos:

* Going back to hydraulic power steering, there's a reservoir in the underhood picture at upper right corner. Disappointing.

* Longitudinal engine layout because of engine cover and oil fill. Euro going back to RWD, if this is the case Cruze will be the first domestic RWD compact since Chevette (ugh).

* If it's RWD and new Delta platform, I want an '11 RWD HHR.

* Interior: steering wheel is fugly. Looks like a cross between the current Chevy wheel and the one-spoke Olds wheels from the 1980s.

* Radio is too much for a compact. Guarantee it won't be in the base Cruze.

* Dash compartment, same as HHR and Malibu. Nice trend.

* Love the upholstered dash. Reminds me of when cars were great, not shoeboxes (literally in the case of xB).

* Wheels look like classic American Racing mags.

Sorry about the terseness, if I write in full sentences my sign-in times out.

One thing is for sure it won't be RWD.

Now that Ford has finally released info regarding the next gen Focus I think the Cruze may have some extreme competetion. The Focus is offered in both sedan and 5 door hatch to start and comes with a myriad of tech gadgets.
