Custom 50 chev Suburban !!!!

I found this set of images on another board I frequent. Have a look at the link to see a 50 chev suburban that looks even closer to an HHR than it did before.
Top is chopped and hood and grille area heavily modded out !!

Garish effect

The links ultimately end up at a site in Brazil! The extra speakers and paint and wheels are a bit over-the-top for my 54 year old tastes, but it's amazing how much of the basics of this look like an HHR. I just had my SS test drive, I guess I need to find someone with a 1949 or so Suburban to see whether anything else on the HHR is similar to it beyond certain external design cues.

Looks like a stretched HHR.
I hope somebody would make some round headlight conversion kit for the HHR (similar to the 57 tail light kit)

They did a nice job on that '50, its a bit over the top for me, but hey its a free country. I've always thought the HHR favors the '48 Chevy Fleetline with its down turned grill and pontoon fenders going back into the doors. Even though the official inspiration is the Suburban, I've got to think that the some of the Fleetline snuck into the mix. Take a look at the '48 and see if you can see some of it in the HHR.

I like it! The fact some dude's in Brazil driving it just makes it that much more interesting. That's a look you'd normally associate with us 'mericanos lol.

From seeing those pic's from Brazil...

If Chevy drops our HHR, I hope they will return with a mid to full-sized replacement.
