Right after warranty was up, I converted my Air Filter type from FS to the FX version, double filter Donaldson canister style.. Which I had planned even prior to purchase.

Friend went up to a 61" Z & he has rolling land. It is too big as it gouges some dips & can't cut in between. (short version) he is push mowing more that before.

Are you still getting the Kawasaki Engine ? And cool about the 4 yr warranty. Mine was only 3.
yes, everything is the same, just smaller deck. my gate is 54" so the 50 will fit through. the 54" deck needed 58" to clear... and I don't really feel like moving fences lol

Cool Bonez, Congrats, looks like the new hot rod has arrived.

I did my 1st early oil & filter change @ 8 hours. Getting that "break-in" oil outta there. But the engine won't be fully broke in till around approx 50 hours..

I change my oil & filter @ end of each mowing season, no matter how low the hours are. Or 50 hours, but never more than 1 year on the oil & filter. But that's me.

Oil is cheap, these engines are NOT.

Agreed, Ive seen these motors sitting on the display there and WHOOO said Rick Flair....LOL Even with my regular rider, oil was changed at end of every season, new filters and serviced at the dealer if needed ( spindles, pulleys, tune up ect.. ) I would occasionally start it throughout the winter just to keep the oil circulated and internals lubed. Sometimes Id drain all fuel and run it til dry before winter but last few times I just filled it up and idle it a couple times a month, never had any issues with my riders BUT going to talk to the dealer on best way to store this ( have a garage that doesn't get super cold or hot inside for this ) but the other rider was kept on the covered deck covered during the winters.. Supposed to be nice this coming weekend ( sat 64 ) so hopefully dry enough to get out and cut !

I would occasionally start it throughout the winter just to keep the oil circulated and internals lubed If you do that, I'd only suggest that ya consider to run engine for like 20 minutes each time, as any shorter can cause condensation to build internally in the engine. Which ends up in the oil.

Sometimes Id drain all fuel and run it til dry before winter Even running it till it quits still leaves a small bit of gas in the bottom of fuel bowl. but last few times I just filled it up and idle it a couple times a month, never had any issues with my riders BUT going to talk to the dealer on best way to store this ( have a garage that doesn't get super cold or hot inside for this ) I use 100% gas ONLY, & before last cutting of the year, I add Seafoam® to my fresh 100% gas & mow some more to get the mix in the fuel pump & carb etc. but the other rider was kept on the covered deck covered during the winters.. You'll get it sorted out. Supposed to be nice this coming weekend ( sat 64 ) so hopefully dry enough to get out and cut ! Sounds good to me, Enjoy.
If you ever want, shoot me a PM.

I checked the tire pressure when I 1st got mine, & they were way overfilled, due to the sitting time since initial assembly. This will throw off the cutting heights. I run 12 psi in back, & 22 psi in front. per my OM.

Redmax looks good, & reminds me of my Shindaiwa T235 which can cut a 20" path, but I reversed the string cutter, on the guard, so it will cut @ 18", which I prefer.

Shindaiwa T-235 Pro Series
