it's what got me more into biking for sure. Need a trail bike sometimes and a road bike sometimes, but don't have the money, space, or anything to have both, and what i usually rid is a mix of it all.

Got my dad back into biking with it as well. He liked to ride but would always buy a mountain bike. He lives on a dirt road but it's packed down, he doesn't do any hard trail riding, so i had him try out my new one. next thing i knew he bought the same bike as me, and put twice as many miles as me last year.

One day when i have the resources i would love to have a better mountain bike, a nice road bike and a hybrid (and fix up my in laws tandem, and lets throw a nice recumbent in there as well), but i can only hang so many bikes on the wall in my office right now...

Here's mine:

I used to race BMX as a kid so I got this 24" 'cruiser' later on when I got the itch to race again. The bike is great but I'm too old & out of shape to be competitive. And it would take too much effort to get in that kind of shape so dust collecting is all it does now (for sale, cheap!):

My 'other' bike is my trusty old Cannondale Super-V. I bought the frame back in the early '90's for cheap (I worked at Fox Shox & we were supplying rear suspension for this mfg). I bought all XT components & built up a great bike. But again my physical shape kept me from enjoying the trail ride. Too many hills to climb (walk) up. Alas, another dust collector.

I do take both bikes out on occasion. Just not enough to warrant ownership

I love looking at 'old' mountain bikes like that. It's amazing how things have changed. Fox still makes some of the best suspension components though.

Here's a better picture of my newest bike. Still haven't taken it on the trails yet due to rain.

rain is stopping you? It is a mountain bike right? I don't think some mud is going to hurt it.

ha, just joking.

Probably won't hurt the bike, but I don't want to hurt the trails.

So.. I use to ride a Cannondale with my uncle bout 5 years ago, and we'd do about 80 miles a week.. it was very fun and good excersize. I got out of that and just gave it up.. About a year ago i wanted bre to get a bike and ride with me for excersize and just something to do. Well about two weeks ago bre said "Im getting fat, you still wanna get those bikes?" Lol, so I agree'd and we looked around.. I didn't have the full funds to get me a nice road bike and her a bike to. So i just went with two cheap academy bikes for now. If i get back into it,ill either borrow one of my uncles since he has like 10 nice road bikes.. or ill buy a nice one, but if i dont, atleast this one only cost 130$. and bre's was 100$.. They will do for now.. Any how, here is one pic of each of them..

My son in 2005 in Ohio racing, then in 2008 in Kentucky doing park freestyle.
Naturally, the HHR seconds as a BMX race hauler.
