Does anyone wave at other HHRs?

Only response was on Friday from the only SS I have seen on the road. Every other HHR I have seen are either busy on the phone or think I am nuts. Once, I think the attractive woman thought I was hitting on her as she sped away.

Similarly, anyone have PT Cruiser drivers flip you off? I have. Several times now.

Yes, I wave ... unless something tells me not to (usually the E sticker telling me it's an Enterprise rental, or the driver doesn't look friendly). I'd say less than 30% have acknowledged or returned the wave. I'm intrigued, however, by the other HHRs that have noticed the ChevyHHR.net decal on the back window and have gestured or tried to catch up to read it or, in a couple of cases, have followed me into a parking lot and asked me about it.

I ride a Harley, and learned early on that Harley riders have their own wave -- you extend your left arm, hand open but fingers together, with the palm facing forward. The arm is angled down at about a 30 degree angle. No other movement, just the extending of the arm. I'm so used to doing that now that it's automatic. My wave to other HHRs is becoming automatic, too.

I had one guy pull up next to me at a light -- in a very plain, unattractive PT. He gestured at me to roll down the window, so I did. He proceeded to tell me that I should have bought "the real thing" -- meaning, a PT. I told him that while his might be the first, mine was by far the better. The light turned green and I took off quickly and cleanly, leaving him behind.

I don't see many HHRs to wave at but I would if I saw one. I see tons of PT Cruisers which makes me so much happier I got the HHR. Being unique is so much cooler.

Never had that happen...I think I've seen a few envious looks from them though....with an expression that looks like they're thinking "Damn! I coulda had one of THOSE and instead I bought this tuna can!"

One of our first drives with our new HHR and a Sunset Orange drives by us, slows up, waves, then downshifted and sped off. We got a kick out if it. :)
