Question Engine Help

Hey everyone,

I just inherited a new (old) car and need to know if there is any way to tell exactly what size motor is in it, so that I can replace the oil pan gasket and other things.

The car is a 1970 Buick Skylark Custom. Was told the engine was changed out back in the day because it had a "leaded" engine, not sure if this is true or not, but I want to stop the oil leaking so that I may drive it a few times this summer.

The car had only one owner since it was new in '70. (used to belong to my grandma, she felt she shouldn't be driving anymore and gave it to me).

If the engine was changed you'll have to find the engine number, it's stamped into the block. Not sure where on a buick but google should have that info.

Kudos on getting Gramma's old car!
