Ford Transit

What do you guys think of this car? In its stock form, I find it pretty ugly. But through SEMA, this car really impressed me. It looks like it can be a cult hit for those who love the HHR panel.

we have a couple of ford transit connects(not your pictured ones, but a year older) at work that were an alternate for better fuel economy service vans, but I think they are alright...But I would still prefer the full size chevy 2500 vans that we also have...Connect gets about 23 mpg's, while the full size chevy gets about 17-18...I would prefer to lose the mpg's for the extra power if needed.

But to stay on target, I wouldn't be surprised if they have one with an ecoboost engine eventually

I looked at a Ford Transit as a replacement for the HHR. The car is made in Turkey, had a small 4 cylinder engine and was a real dog. A functional vehicle at best. Maybe good as a delivery van and that is about it.

Just to clarify, the vehicle shown in the posted pics from the SEMA show is the 2nd generation Transit Connect, loosly based on the Ford Focus. The 2nd gen version is not yet for sale here in the US (soon though) The Ford Transit (w/o the 'Connect' name) will be the all-new replacement for the large Econoline van. Here's what the Transit looks like:

I'll just have to keep the HHR clean and in good repair to ensure it lasts as long as I do.
