OK, I watched the movie and tried GoOgle. Why didn't Hill win, did he get a DNF. All I can find is there was a technicality involving brake changes or that he was actually getting lapped at the finish or some such stuff.

Since the three cars tied for the win, they gave the win to the car that started furthest back in the starting lineup.

He did finish legally. The team read the rule book and realized that changing out the entire brake assembly was not actually defined in the rules. Only changing parts was defined. Well, that's what they did, "changed parts". Just a whole bunch of them in one assembly. The judges had no way to disqualify the team for that.

Which essentially means that the farthest back car covered more distance and therefore the win. I did not get that clearly from watching the movie. I had to do a bit of reading to fully understand it. It was a difference of 8 meters.

French rules. Completely wtf in perspective, But , it was the final ruling,

Rolex 24 is this weekend. Cheer for the C8 in GTLM! Porsche got 1-2 in qualifying, but I suspect the new Corvette hasn't hung it all out yet.

Bet on Corvette. Simple advice.
