Got my DTV recorder at the ready. My brother always reminds me too. Interesting to see how the world economy affects the team budgets this year. Personally, other than the safety record I prefer the F1 cars from the 60's and 70's.

Interesting you say that...I've thought about that also...but we're actually going to see an American F1 team on the grid next year! Read about it here:

They have a pretty pie-in-the-sky wish list of drivers, though (not limited to but including: Scott Speed, Marco Andretti, Kyle Busch and Danica Patrick). I wish them well, though. I passed along their site to my wife as a possible backup if GM downsizes her (they could probably use an engineer with both powertrain and racing experience, after all).

As far as the driver line-up goes, only one listed here would be a shoe-in for me...Scott Speed. He has some F1 experience (in a bad car) & is a pretty good driver. The others are for marketing reasons I'm sure. As far as a job with an F1 team, it would be a dream few ever realize!
