GM-brand dealers tops for service
It's easier to satisfy people when the product is better than their previous GM vehicle. With a good product, all you need is to take care of the customer the way you would want your mother treated.
If only my dealer could fix my car
But they can't so I am taking it to a different dealer that has a performance shop and more understanding/experience with my car. I have taken my SS to my dealer 3 times for the problem of my turbo going into reduced power mode and they either tell me they cannot recreate the problem or they make an adjustment and say that is all it is needed. Yet everytime I give it a little acceleration I hear a squeal/whistling noise and the turbo goes limp.
I don't take much stock in other people's opinions (JD Powers, Consumer Reports, Edmunds, etc.). I'd rather go off my own experiences. But in this case, my experience has aligned with their study.
My local dealer's SERVICE dept has been extraordinary in providing quality repairs, upgrades and corrective actions as well as good customer service.
In the case of this same dealer, it's their SALES dept that needs an overhaul in ethics.

They didn't ask me ... told a while back brake pads needed changing as they were warped ... under warrenty ... no problem ... on vacation so car sat ... set up an appointment last week to get the work done ... garage cancelled .... people off sick .. ok ... go in today .. told not warrenty but $ 38?.00 as "it had gone too far" not amused .. car on hoist apart .. pay or pay ... stay away from Hall Wright in Owen Sound if you want a good deal ... this si anoth in a long line of problems with the dealer ... three times to fix a slow leak in a tire ... (told nothing wrong with it twice) ... had to find the car in the first place as they had nothing like it (except the one on the lot) ... no impressed
