GM buys part of Peugeot/Citron
Attention U.S. taxpayers: You now own a piece of a French car company that is drowning in red ink.
That's right. In a move little noticed outside of the business pages, General Motors last week bought more than $400 million in shares of PSA Peugeot Citroen - a 7 percent stake in the company.
Because U.S. taxpayers still own roughly one-quarter of GM, they now own a piece of Peugeot.

Really GM is this the right time to do this? You just got out of the red yourselves!!! I hope it works out.

Honestly I wouldn't mind if they brought the Peugeot 508 to the states, but that's just my opinion. Who knows though this could be a good thing for GM. From the looks of it both automakers have something to benefit from something like this. After all we've seen similar stuff with Fiat and Chrysler and Renault and Nissan.

Honestly I wouldn't mind if they brought the Peugeot 508 to the states, but that's just my opinion. Who knows though this could be a good thing for GM. From the looks of it both automakers have something to benefit from something like this. After all we've seen similar stuff with Fiat and Chrysler and Renault and Nissan.
