GM to increase production

Another thing that would GM would be to offer something Ie Malibu with AWD. When you get into the midwest, East Coast it would be another helpful selling idea.
Ford is now offering AWD on the New Fusion and the Tarus.

Buick and Cadillac both will offer these systems and can suport the added cost.
AWD would drive a LTZ But to near $35,000 plus and to be honest few people really need it. If your that bad in the snow it is time to put down the cell phone and drive or stay home.

It could happen as the new Malibu platform will support AWD [Haldex to be exact]. THe issue though will be cost. AWD is a small share of the market and adds cost to a car they want as a value leader.

I know this is a completely "unscientific" observation, but I see 3 or 4 HHR's on my daily commute now and used to rarely see even one. Still see more new Camaros than HHR SS though (5 vs 1 total to date).

Now that is sticker price. You should be able to buy it for under $30K.
Also the Haldex system is top line. THey are the best out there but they are not cheap. GM is using their system on Cadillac and Buick. Haldex supplies many companies including the Bug, Veryon.
