Yeah, it is a sleek looking car but it looks too much like a Ferrari, Maserati or Lamborghini than a Corvette.

I agree. But what do car manufacturers do but copy design of other vehicles.
Way back when, all manufactures had style of their brand.

I recall reading that the '63 Vette was criticized for being too European. Yet it's the most beautiful Vette ever. Not sure the new one will have that distinction.

I think the Vette has always had a European flair to it but when you saw one coming towards you from down the road you KNEW it was a Vette. The C7 and now the C8 have changed that, when you see them you are not so sure.

Most Ferrari’s don’t have the black ascents on the vents and spoilers.
