Question GM Owners Center?

Does anyone use the GM Owners Center hosted by Yahoo? If so, did you receive an email indicating that they are terminating their hosting of this and provide a link to transfer you data to a new site and host?

Just trying to determine if this is SPAM.

I use it, and I used to like it. But they have transferred it over and frankly it stinks, very slow, very clunky, and hugely frustrating.

I hope that in coming weeks they get the "bugs" out of it, it was so handy for keeping mileage and service logs for the HHR's, and the other Chevy vehicles in the fleet/herd.

Thanks, 843... But you haven't received an email stating a change beginning July 18, 2012 ?

I do know about the time this forum was originated several of us ol timers started using it. I think GM hosted on one of their servers. They then went to Yahoo as host and I've used it several times in the far past. Was just thinking the other day, should go and delete a number of vehicles and add the new ones.

Anyway, trying to determine if this is legit before I click and provide info (I'm a little gun shy....got "tagged" by a virus a couple days ago. Just got it cleaned up and waiting for an explanation from WebRoot).

I didn't get the e-mail Snoopy, the site was "down for maintenance" last week, and when it came back I was involuntarily moved to the new version.

I'd be a bit leery of the e-mail too, there is an awful lot of malicious crap out there these days. If you log into the old page, it will automatically scoot you over to the new and "improved" version.

It's not spam, they did move the websites to all GM lines.

Yup, got the e-mail today.

The Owner's Center site is working better today than it had been working, so they're getting it smoothed out.

I'm still not as much in "like" with it as the old one, but what can you do?

And like the old one, the very existence of a '67 Chevy confuses and confounds it to no end.
