It sounds like benefits in Canada are typically better.

I'm at 15 days paid vacation (but that's a minimum standard and I've only really started working) plus 5 days paid vacation plus a flex day every month along with 12 stat holidays.

Speaking of unions..is there a bigger sham than pro athlete and union being mentioned in the same breath? Negotiate your own contract but join a union...

That really sucks big time for these people. They will not see any benefit from these strikes only losses.
Yep...just waiting for the settlement in the US so I can start sending trannys again to Lordstown OH,(Cobalt,G5) Lansing MI,(Malibu, Aura, Aura Hybrid and G6) Spring Hill TN,(Saturn Vue) Ramos Arizipe,MX (HHR) and Hangzou,China (Buick Sail & a hybrid).
We source a lot of parts from Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio The main castings for the case and channel plate are from Bedford, IN. Most internal parts, steel castings, and roll steel are from Mich. and Ontario. Valve Body parts, carriers, gears and shafts come from Ypsilanti or Flint,MI., and St Catherines, ON. Torque convertors come from our friends in Toledo, OH.
Very few parts, such as friction clutch plates (16 pcs.) and some solenoids(4) are from China or Mexico.

This is actually good for Toyota and Ford and other companies who will pick up the sales GM will lose. I don't know about many others but I would not buy a GM car made by disgruntled workers earning $83,000 a year LOL.

People will still buy cars. It will just be another brand.

Common sense and Union demands should not be made in the same sentence.

Tell me, "Kingfrog", what is it that you do that is soooo damn important that you have the right to stick your big-ass nose up in the air and look down on people trying to make a decent living?

I'd still love to know where this $83,000 a year figure is coming from, although it's probably something else you've managed to pull out of your ass.
