Not a big fan of the balsa-wood interior...

Didn't GM learn anything from the Aztec?

Looks like they took the Kia Soul's lines.

How couldn't they do the doors? I mean, they could do it like the extended cab pickups or the old Saturns that had those half doors? It would work. Besides, look at the Camaro concept...now look at a new Camaro. Not a whole lot of difference.

I'd buy one if it offered enough detailed options. (turbo would be nice or an SS package [which I know won't happen] )

My thoughts as well.

They also work so well on the Honda Element. Would be a great selling point.

I'm wondering if this show car isn't a disguised version of the new Opel/Vauxhall Meriva.

The show car is not either. It is on the New Delta platform. It has more in common with the cancled Orlando and Cruze.

Which brings up the new line from GM that the Granite is NOT approved yet. Keep an eye out as public response have been positive for this and GM may have been testing the reaction to this as a possible production vehicle approval.

The doors are an issue as they need to make them work on a Unibody vehicle unlike the trucks. Also they are much larger doors than the Saturn and the Element.

The key to this is to not worry about the show car features to the point it will hurt the end product. THe present Camaro was hurt because GM refused to change the interior even when the public was not fully thrilled with it. Note GM is now going to have a new interior for the Camaro in 2012 because of the complaints.

GM needs to make it look good but it also needs to make all the features work and work well. It the doors hurt crash standards or will rattle in 30,000 miles they need to rethink them if they can not make it right.
