That styling does appear to be hot with the younger generation. Maybe if they fire up Bob Segar and the "Like A Rock" ad campaign, they'll get us old geezers excited about the Granite..

Cool, suicide doors. I had those on a 63 Lincoln Continental convertible

I seen this at the NY Auto Show at the Javits Center in April. I like the fact that you can use an entire side of the vehicle for things like bikes, ladders, etc. It's has the kind of cargo ability like the HHR on the passenger side, only with higher clearance because the seats fold completely to the side and out of the way, not just over on themselves. I think that the function is just great. The styling is not nearly as distinctive as our HHRs, but it is certainly GM at the very least.

The Granite is actually a pretty good looking vehicle. I do think the HHR is still better looking but they will need to keep the vehicle price low to compete with the korean competition.

GM should build it and fill it with cats. Then send them after those dang urban hamsters. They kind of creep me out.

Hmmm....

I was going to buy an Equinox as a replacement for my SS.

Now, I'll have to rethink.

The Granite is very similar (in function - NOT form!) to my Honda Element, which I enjoyed immensely.

Replacement of the SS (which will be a very sad day...) is about two years away.

Yes, they learned to stop designing ugly boring cars. The granite will be one of the best looking vehicles in it's segment.
