Iam an insurance agent and I cant tell you how many times I pick up the phone and I hear "I was at Wal-Mart and....."

AS far as whos at fault... 99% of the time if your backing up... your going to be at fault.. In this case both will be at fault and it will probably be fix your own kind of deal..

I live in west Texas and we get some pretty high winds hear in the spring..I have seen cart going across the Wal-Mart parking lot at VERY high rate of speed and crash in cars.. My office is a block from Mr.Waltons an i have two young kids so Im a frequent shopper at wallys..

I too park in the out field but its no defense against a stray cart with an attitude..

I agree...and wish more shopping centers would have the system for cart control I saw up in New Jersey. At one supermarket the carts were chained together in the parking lot racks and when you put a quarter in a box it undid the chain from the cart in front of it.When you were done shopping, you chained it back in the rack and you got your quarter.I did not see any "loose" carts.

I always thought that was to keep bums from taking them.

I had just purchase my first new car, a Toyota 4x4 PU truck. I left the dealership and decided to stop by the grocery store to get a soda before going home. I went in, made my purchase and return to the truck, only to find someone had run a shopping cart into the side of the truck.

Well, his insurance company is sending him a check for the Estimated Repair Price. Not sure if this will affect his car insurance premium yet?

I would go for that and they could keep the quarter is they would repair the carts and disinfect them daily...
