It's funny you mention the dwi, because in one episode this one guy killed a few people in different states with the whole dwi thing. Changed his name up and slipped through the cracks. Guess what happened?

I guess you think Batman is a megalomaniac/outlaw who is garbage as well? Maybe he should be captured because he let an eco-terrorist die instead of rescuing him? Or maybe they should bring him in one murder charges for pushing a man off the ledge while saving a child at gunpoint?

Double Jeopardy? Commit murder, found not guilty then later admits to it? Oh but he can get purgery charges. Where's Dexter when you need him?

None the less this topic was about who watches dexter and are avid fans of it... Since you admited to not watching and that it's garbage then why are you even try to flame up this thread???
Roll on the floor all you want. TV shows like this are not just fantasy for a lot of people. They use vigilantism to justify fantasy murder. For serial killers and their victims, it's not a fantasy--it's reality. Do you think that the family of victims of the Son of Sam, BTK, John E. Robinson, or Jeffrey Dahmer are going to watch shows like this? What does it say about this country when we put shows like this on the air for entertainment?

How about we start a medical drama about an abortion clinic, or hey, a show glorifying the insurgency against American soldiers in Iraq? This country already has "To Catch a Predator" and is about to have a show on FOX about deadbeat dads, so what else can we come up with?

If don't like it don't watch it, it's as simple as that. The character Dexter is nothing like true life serial killers. He's sorta like a modern day hitman for the lynch mob. And I really don't like repeating myself but this topic is for Dexter and it's fans... not about what America should be showing on TV... why don't you start a thread on censorship and infringement on the 1st admenment if you want flame America and it's viewing choices there buddy...

There are 12 episodes for each season. You cannot stop watching the episodes. You get hooked!!

So if you are interested go rent it. Only if you like that kind of show. I love the show!

It is the same concept as "Death Wish" with Charles Bronson, but Dexter goes to a little more extremes.
Did you catch the remake that came out last year with Kevin Bacon?

The Brave One with Jodi Foster is pretty damn good too!

A modern day hitman for the LYNCH MOB??? Are you serious?

There is indeed something wrong with this country when we're airing TV shows that cause people to empathize with serial killers, to root for them and cheer when they don't get caught. I am against censorship, but I also believe that garbage is garbage and people should have a little bit more decency than to support a show that glorifies a serial killer--even if that killer has some sort of "code" of killing people who "deserve" it. Missionary serial killing is a psychosis that is very real and very dangerous and something that should not be glorified on broadcast television.

I've said all I'm going to say on this topic, so feel free to flame on and enjoy discussing this disgusting show.
