How Much did you pay for your First Car?

I thought this would be a neat idea for a thread: How much did you pay for your first car? What kind of car was it? And how long ago was it?

My first car was a 2002 Buick Regal which I bought in November 2008. I paid $6995 for it, used. It was a nice car, Buicks are pretty good cars.

My first car wasn't a car, but a Corvair van, that cost me $200. Then in 1985 I did buy my first car that really was a car, it was a 1977 Chevy Monza 2+2 with a 350V-8, that set me back $875. Still have the van and I always will, the Monza suffered a broken subframe on I-40 in the winter of 1987.

My first car was a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix. Year before the wide trac body. The previous owner, took it to hell and back. Then sold it. First the transmission went, fixed that, then the engine went. RE-sold it to my mech neighbor for $400. Second "first" vehicle, was a 1999 Chevy Silverado. 4.3L V6 and a 5speed manual. HAD 240,000 miles on it when dad gave it to me. Sold it off 4 months ago for Stiglitz. Got $1,100.

My first car was a 1960 Plymouth Valiant. I paid 50 dollars for it but it cost 100 dollars to get the trans fixed. That was about 1970
