We've been on a roller coaster here lately. For the last two months or so (at least by the house) it'll hover around $2.59 then shoot up to $2.79 and inch back to $2.59 over a week or two then go back up (for 87 octane). I usually run 89, so add a dime. Can't really figure out why it's up and down so much...was $2.54 near the highway on Sunday. Came back through 3 hours later and it was $2.67. WTF???

Many stations adjust up for times when they think they will have more sales, holidays, beginning and end of weekends, etc...... Maximizing profits. I've even seen stations adjust prices up because there's a local event and out of town people might need to gas up to get home....... Doesn't really have much to do with the cost of oil, unless a barrel of oil jumps up in price, then gas will jump.... As if that barrel magically turned into the gas that's been in the tank under the station for over a week......

$1.299 per litre for 93 octane

That's 4.92/US gallon

Regular is $1.099/litre = $4.16 per gallon.

In the Louisville KY area, I've been seeing somewhere between $2.75-$2.79 per gallon for 87 recently.
