Well put.

Besides my HHR SS I also own an '08 Mustang Bullitt so my garage is totally retro right now and I'm loving it but know the party can't last forever. Ford has already stated that the new Mustang in '15 is not going to be a total retro design but a modern design with classic cues in the same way the '99-'04 design melded the two so well. Hopefully GM will give us something along those lines in a future small CUV/SUV.

Sorry, I don't mean to offend those of you that are lucky enough to own one of the few good ones, but to make a payment on something of this quality is disgusting and I would like to warn future buyers before they make the same mistake.

Thanks again GM! Keep up the good??? work.......
SO a year ago you bought a 5 year old used car and apparently, didn't test drive it with all the issue you complain about, so now you want to not offend those that did and still drive a good car?

Gotcha......

My 09 has 65000 miles on it and it has been great. the HHR is a great veichle. It seems many GM cars suffer from the clunks in the steering and squeaky breaks. And the whole key thing is a given to hhr owners at some point. It seems someone must have sold you a car that was not taken care of.

I agree. I have a 08 SS and my wife has a 08 LT both were bought used and both with about 25K miles on em. 1 owner each and whoever the owners were took great care of em. We now have 35K miles on each and havnt had any problems except for a water temp sensor on the LT and a tire pressure sensor on my SS. As long as you take good care of your car it will last you a long time. Yes they do have some faults, the HHR isn't perfect just like any other car out there. But that doesn't mean that HHR is a horrible car, if the prior owner beat the crap out of it then yeah your going to have some problems.
