Just got the call... USMC at your service!

Although this forum is important to me, my priorities have just shifted a bit.
My family and I are seeing Kiddo off on ship again on Sept. 13th.
Mr. B and I are still going on the Cal run this weekend although my heart isent in it as much as I would like it to be.
It's hard to stay focused when sending your only child off on a big ol ship! I'll post more details later.

Hoorah!

Sindy...our real life family and daily lives are top priority. It makes me feel better to know that we have great young men like your son to protect our freedom. I will keep you and your entire family in my thoughts and prayers and wish kiddo all the best on this new journey. If you need anything, I'm only a phone call away...you know that. Take care...all 3 of you.

Hugs...Deb

Sindy, My prayers will be for you and your son. I can relate. My son served in the marines and one of the hardest things was letting go. God speed and protection.

My brother, my brother-in-law and 2 cousins are all Marines. All I can offer right now is Semper Fi. My brother did two tours in Iraq since all this started and now will be training future Marines at Paris Island.

Just keep this in mind. He's had the best training in the world. He has you to support him and you to raise him. That makes all the difference in the world. Do you know what MEU he'll be with? I'll be sure to try to keep track at the USMC web site.

Sindy.....

Thinking "Good Thoughts" for the young man.

And, tell him, on his return, I'll buy him a drink. I do this all the time. My way of thanking "our guys" for allowing me to remain FREE and live in this great country.
