Motorcraft Battery

I know, I know, Motorcraft has nothing to do with Chevy, but com'on, I have 2 HHRs, so you got to cut me a little slack.

I have an 2002 F@&$ F250 Diesel that has twin batteries in it, and the factory Motorcraft batteries are still working after over 8 years! Since I also have a plow on the truck, I think that is pretty darn good.

Anyway, I don't want to temp fate and try to go another year with them, so I am looking to replace them. Since the originals served me so well, I am going to put another set (Motorcraft BXT-65-750) back in. My question is, does anyone know if you can buy them at any other place than the Stealership?

I've got my flame suit on, so go ahead

That there's funny...don't care who you are

Motorcraft makes some good stuff. If they've worked well in the past, why try anything else? Not sure you can get them anywhere else tho. Maybe KMart? I know that WallyWorld and AutoZone won't have them as they sell other brands. Good luck finding new one's.

Google "motorcraft battery" and a number of different sites come up......Advance Auto, Rockparts.com, Amazon, etc. Watch out for shipping charges if you do an internet buy.

If memory serves there are only 3 manufacturers of lead acid batteries. Motorcraft is nothing but a label.

This may be true, and Motorcraft is made by Johnson Controls (JCI) but.... Each customer (Motorcraft, Walmart, Interstate, etc.) sets their own specifications. The battery MUST meet all of there specifications before their label goes on. In some cases, a battery may not meet the performance spec of a higher end customer, and then is sold to lower end customer who puts their label on it.
Other specifications may include case and lid color, plate length and thickness, posts, etc.

Our 2001 Ford Focus battery is still going strong after 9+ years! Should break down and get a new one before next winter.
