isn't Il Bastardo the same as Clint Eastwood's "high plains drifter"?? I thought he kinda remade that one...? Maybe I'm mistaken?!

It's not exactly a remake but all the film experts think that it was Clint Eastwood's main influence for High Plains Drifter. Django the Bastard is kind of a horror western. I like how the main character in Django the Bastard is actually named Django and wears dark clothing. Most of the Django sequels are in name only but they tried to tie Django the Bastard to the real Django. There are differences between the two Djangos though. The one main difference is the real Django fought for the north in the Civil War and Django the Bastard fought for the south. I can't even see how they tried to tie some spag westerns to Django. Pretty much every western to star Franco Nero used a Django title somewhere in the world. Even Keoma used the title Django Rides Again. Someday I will tract down every film that used a Django title at some point. Man that was a lot of Djangos. I don't think I can type Django for at least a month now.

I was digging through some old stuff today and came across a Boba Fett Pez dispenser I've had forever. I also got involved in a 30-45 minute StarWars conversation at my buddy's house. I'm a dork.

Hey, I resemble that remark! It is what I do for a living. Sometimes the Star Wars conversations can get, well, out of hand at my place:

We interrupted out Speghetti Western run with Santos and the Werewolf a couple of weeks back. It was a double feature . We started with Once Upon A TIme In The West, then went for Santos and ended with Wacky Races cartoons. By then, the sun was coming up and it was time for bed!

Saturday we went for Flags of Our Fathers and the Kung Fu Jack western. One old, one new. A good balance on double feature night.

I used to have a non subtitiled Turkish film, Three Dev Adam, which means the Three Heroes.
It stars Santos, Captain America, and Spiderman. A limited release with subtitles just came out and I gotta get one. You'd love it. Spidey is the bad guy and it opens with him burying a vixen up to her neck in beach sand then having his droogs lift up a small boat with an outboard motor on it, start the motor and, well, you can guess the rest......
Oh, it has sex in it and flesh too. Quite the unauthorized comic movie by all standards.

Horrible cinema in almost every way! So you see, I just have to have it

I've heard of 3 Dev Adam but have never seen it. It sounds like it's right up my alley! My wife is actually watching Django with me. She sat through the intro without laughing hysterically at the theme song and leaving the room like last time.

Hey, CH, your avatar is our start-up screen at my store!
Again, weak minds think alike!

We have three Spaghetti western CDs in our fifty disc changer at work. I really love a lot of the music. They came as Japanese imports and collect maybe seventy themes or so. O course the Cannibal Holocaust cd is in there too!

Since you mentioned him.....I read, a couple weeks back, that captain america was killed off. If true, I'll miss him (from my old age dreaming).
