Bingo!! You got it Krash! Cute little buggers weren't they? I've always liked the "Pocket Pontiac" look of the Vauxhall Viva.

 

Well we've gone almost a day without a new mystery car, can't have that now can we?

So who can identify this rather formal saloon car in a rather formal setting?

 

I like the panel in the background better..that more door box is uuugly

 

A hint if you're trying to identify the mystery car. The panel in the background is a Ford Escort, which makes our mystery car European in origin. Hint, underneath the hood there beats an engine as American as apple pie.

 

Well this is a bummer, nobody has identified the car of mystery yet, so I'll just crank it up and turn it around so you can see the front. Now it should be easy to put a name on this V-8 powered executive express from the 70's...I hope.

Bingo!! Yes its an Opel Diplomat from 1977, always liked the combination of a '67 Nova front end and European style body on these.
