OK, close enough for government work wouldy, it is a Venturi. The 1995 Venturi 400 Trophy which was the fastest variant of the car produced, top end of 182 mph making it the fastest French car of the 90's.
Now who has the next mystery car ready to confound and confuse us?

Glad that was close enough for government work. I do work for the Government, "Trust me". 
This is a government car, only one has been built, trying to get departments interested in it, I think budgets will keep it from being a reality.

Its the Carbon Motors E7 Police Patrol Vehicle prototype, powered by a BMW six cylinder diesel engine. Production versions will start shipping in mid 2012, specs are 0-60 in 5.5 seconds with a top end limited to 155 mph. Not available to the general public, expected cost depending on equipment will be between $50,000 to $75,000 per unit.
