You are right, your reference was never to the year of the car. That was my mistake as I have always said with referring to an automobile, "what model year is that?" and that is incorrect english as they are two different topics (models and years) are not the same.
By the way now that we are on this subject did you know how the "Model 40 Speedster" was derived? I'll tell those that are wondering--Model 40 is the type of Ford V8 flathead engine that was used in the cars of that era starting around 1932 or 33. Later on in the forties Ford used a Model 59 type of V8.

No it's been 48 hrs since the last posting author declared a winner I personally think it should be open season as we have a room full of members just sitting around waiting for a new mystery car. If someone wants to complain, it's on me.
