Replace the bowtie with an H, and it's very much like a Honda Accord.

Thanks for the pics Dracos. Now I see what you're talking about.

All I can say is: "Corporate blandness" or "booorrrrring"

Maybe. But there is nothing else about it that resembles anything Honda.

The new Impala looks much better in person than these pics show. I would urge holding back on judgement until you have personally seen it. This is the quantum leap that Impala has needed. A touch late? Maybe. But, the new GM is moving in the right direction, freshening their oldest stalwart in a big way. Let's see how this plays out. For now, this is nothing other than a major renaissance for the Impala. I can cheer that, on its own.

I will say that, regardless of what it looks like, they definitely needed to update the Impala. The current Impala isn't that bad of a car 5 years ago, but today it is outdated compared to everything else. GM really let the Impala go a long time without being updated. The current model Impala has stayed the same since 2006, and other cars have now far surpassed it in technology, interior design.

The new one is supposed to be more upscale and supposed to leave the "fleet queen" status behind. Everything I've seen on it looks positive, whether or not it's too late, time will tell.
