My hope is they have already seen the lack of people wanting the Orlando. They are not offering a performance version since it is not coming to the states and most of the markets other than Canada really do not go for power wagons.

At this point this will not come here but it looks as if the Granite will. I am hoping thet may be able to take this plaform in the LWB version and make something stylish like a new gen HHR. One that may be a little retro but not like what we have now. If they so a new HHR they need to make it more different than Chrysler did the PT in it's second gen.

I would like to see the Nomad like roof with a 1957 Chevy Cameo truck like nose and tail. The 50's slab sides would fix the stone chip issues many have seen too.

It is toned down from the show concept and a little dull.

It may be a good thing it is not coming to the states. Let hope for something with a little more style and coolness.

I figure few HHR owners would pop for this one.
Looks like an oversize Pontiac Vibe with a Malibu fascia. I think GM is over using the Malibu look...

Ecch.

But - BUT - if they sell a U.S. version with a diesel, I can get over the blah looks.

I'm reminded of the blah GM cars of the late 80's/early 90's..... having a 'family' resemblance to other models is fine, Chrysler has done well with the crossbar grill, but this looks like a Malibu wagon. If fact, I bet if they called it a Malibu X (for crossover) it would have gotten more interest.

I'd never buy an Orlando but I would definitely be interested in something like this as an HHR replacement, esp. if it was offered with a sporting drivetrain like in my SS. The retro styling is what initially attracted me to the HHR but I was left cold by the blah drivetrains. That is until the SS version showed up and got me to a dealership for a test drive and purchase shortly thereafter. Come on Chevy, do it again!

I was thinking the same thing. Just not something I'd see myself buying.

They could build an upscale version.

Call it the 'Tony Orlando'.
