Of course this has been talked about time and time again, but this almost sounds definative. I didn't care too much for that car anyway, especially not as a replacement for the HHR.

The plan was to bring this in before the Chapter 11 and now they have money so they don't have to bring it in. From what I have heard they have plans now they can afford to do. I would just keep an eye open and watch what is to come.
While there is not going to be an HHR I suspect the replacment will be different, fresh and something that will sell as well as the HHR. Like it or not the Souls are owning the segment right now and I suspect Chevy has somthing based on the GMC Granite coming.
My contacts at GM can no longer talk as open as they used too. News is hard to come by but most will agree we have not seen anything yet of the post Chapter 11 work and we have many suprised to come. Most new product will not be seen till they are about a year to year and a half out. No more 5-6 year lead in's like the Camaro and Volt to float stock prices.

Looks like MB is trying to get in on this segment as well.

I believe that is why we did not get this vehicle. I suspect GM has something better coming.

That is pretty much what I ment. A lot of things like the ZL1 and other cars were just sitting on the shelf waiting for money. They are now just starting on the new things with the new money.
The Bu is coming sooner than the date. It and the old one should appear in 2012. The old one will go to classic status for rental fleets and the new one will get an early intro. It is just over a year out. They have tried to move it up earlier. The Impala is listed also coming but that program have been kept dark. All we know is it will be based on the lacross and will be larger than the bu. It will also offer the V6 that the Bu will not offer. At this point I can not get anyone to make even a light comment on it.
Also watch for the Chevy Sports Sedan in 2014. Think Updated lighter G8 RWD. It is not the Caprice that just came out for police use but a short wheel based version that will over a V8 and over 400 HP. It is waiting on the new Direct Injected V8. Al Fitzpatrick is quoted as saying it is Chevys 4 door Camaro.
