Are you gonna try to use the top half of the back of the RR for the back of the truck cab? Might give it a finished look similar to the stock and be less fabbing you have to do.

I plan to use plastic stock, maybe 1/8 in. thick sheet, for the top of the bed.
I do however plan on using the liftgate window section as the back of the cab..
This is gonna be fun, I can tell...

Great stuff BB.

I did a lot of models cars in the late 50's early 60's. You may inspire me to make a try at this. Then my favorite was AMT models.

You may inspire me to give it a try again. I need to pick a RoadRipper. Where's would i most likely find one, besides ebay?

Thanks Snoopy.

BB, you're right. I was being lazy, i coulda googled it. thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt.

I've got both wallys and target not far from me, but i hate shopping even on a good day, probably won't make it in until the end of next week, when the crowds thin out a bit.

You can also pick them up at Aldi, it is the same vehicle but a different brand, and a little cheaper...

I really look forward to seeing the progress on this latest project of yours. Ever think of doing it as a side thing? People send you pics of their HHR and you copy it for them to a RR. i would sure be willing to pay for something like that. I know I don't have the skills/patience to pull it off!

BTW, mery Christmas to you and your family. Hope to see ya again sometime!
I AGREE! I WOULD ALSO BE WILLING TO PAY FOR A MODEL VERSION OF MINE, AS MY MODELING SKILLS SUCK!!! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE PROGRESS ON THIS PROJECT!!! MERRY CHRISTMAST TO ALL!

Other hobby

I`m back, had to take a break.
I hadn`t modeled (cars) for a while, got into HO scale trains. Same principle, but much smaller.
Got a couple pix.
