Mock-up, Cut lines

Took a couple pix, showing wheels, blower, and proposed cut lines.
If no thoughts on possible changes, I plan to cut back off tommorow(12/24).

First Cuts...

OK, Started the cutting part of the project.
First I cut the rear hatch window section off. While the roof section was still in place, it gave me a more stable platform and holding area than if I`d tried to cut it after the roof was off...

Next

Next I cut the rear passenger section off.
In the previous pic. you can see the exacto saw that I used, it didn`t take to much effort to remove this large section.
The plastic is a little cracked/brittle from the paint removing process, but ok...
These are rough cuts... some sanding and filing will be necessary.

First problem

As you can see, the rear hatch window is somewhat smaller than the behind the front seat section.
Gotta cut and fill. (splice)

The splice

In order to get this piece to fit, I`m gonna cut it right down the middle.
After cutting, I super glued a larger-ish piece of styrene to one side, then after getting a good idea how the other side would fit, I taped them both to the roof section and super glued the other side to the styrene.
This is only to hold things in place. I`m not attaching these pieces to the roof just yet...
